About Jenny Blyth & Fiona Hallinan Jenny and Fiona have been working with birth for many, many years. They have facilitated many Birthwork Workshops – together and individually. Jenny is the author of ‘Birthwork’ and ‘The Down to Earth Birth Book” and is the co-creator of the birth film ‘The Big Stretch’. Fiona works in private practice as a midwife and often facilitates workshops for midwives. Their preference of not leaving things to chance feeds their deliberate practice of educating and supporting women prepare their body for birth. Both have had enormous experience in assisting women connect with, understand and admire their sacred birthing space. Both have a preference for natural birth where families in their care have engaged in taking responsibility for the wellbeing of themselves and their children. Both hold a sense of responsibility to share the knowledge they have collected over time with all who are interested in women and babies and birth - be they birthworkers, midwives, doulas, friends or family. Both are mothers! Jenny is also a grandmother! Since The Big Stretch was released, it has been screened in various communities, and showcased at birth conferences, festivals and workshops around Australia and overseas.
And the book Birthwork, with its positive philosophical thread and various awareness exercises, also provides great opportunities for discussion and interactive workshops. You are welcome to invite Jenny to:
We are happy to work with communities of parents and birthworkers and mixed groups of both. We are also able to tailor a workshop or presentation according to your theme or needs. |
